      Winamp 5.6.4.3415
Clean install, no 3rd-party skins or plugins
      Language Pack: English
      Skin: Winamp Modern and Bento

      OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit)
      Locale: English US
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 820 Processor (4 CPUs) 2.80 GHz
      Memory: 8GB RAM
      Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9100
      Sound: Realtek HD Audio
      DirectX 11

      Problem:
After adding tracks to an empty Playlist Editor and starting any of the tracks you just added, after playing that track it jumps back to the top of the playlist and starts playing the first track in the playlist.

      Method or reproduction:
      1. Add more than one track to the empty Playlist Editor (or add them with the right-click 'Play Selection' or by double clicking).
      2. Start playing any of the tracks.
      3. Either let it play or hit the 'Next' button and instead of going on to the next track it will jump to the top and play the first track in the playlist.

As far as I can tell it only happens when you first add the tracks to an empty playlist. After it happens the first time, everything seems to behave normally.

      [Edit --> DJ Egg]
Fixed in build 3417 and above. Thanks.

lostinsound and I are reporting the same bug, altho he clearly did so more thoroughly. however, when I use 5.7 I do NOT need the top right playlist pane to be "empty" to reproduce. I can go to ANY smartview, pick something in the tracks pane, and the playlist in the top right (containing the first smartview) will now populate with the new smartview, and then still do whats described in the bug. it will also do it if the playlist is "empty" first.

it will then behave normally as long as the playlist doesn't change. but if you switch smartviews again, and get a new playlist, it will happen again.

Oh yes, can confirm this one, too. Probably a regression introduced with fixing the following bug:

          * Fixed: Not playing the first song next when clearing then adding items to playlist

Very sadly, this makes 5.64 (build 3415) unusable for me so I have to wait for 5.7 and again have to go back to 5.63

Anyway, I found two more (rather minor) bugs in 5.64 (build 3415). These are completely cosmetic bugs.

          1. The scrollbar on the right in Big Bento skin in Playlists is chopped off (German Lang Pack). (See attached file winamp_1.png.)
          2. This one is probably there since 5.63 and earlier: If a shoutcast stream title contains a Line Break, things go weird in Bento skin's scroller and Info pane. Note the stream title in the playlist pane on the right, where just the usual Windows "Square" character is shown for the line break, but no actual layout-breaking line break occurs.

Maybe those characters should be stripped before all.

          (See attached file winamp_2.png.)

          Best regards,
          kzuse

playback order quirk acknowledged, may just rollback that change or move it over to a 5.7 only change (depending on how long it takes to fix).

the scrollbar issue affects the root view as well as the playlist views. nothing obvious is different with the dialog resources though i may take this as an opportunity to update the window layout code in the plug-in so it'll ensure the correct sizing of things.

the line-break aspect (in what appears to be a stream) is a fair thing to patch to do something to strip out those characters. not sure that'll be part of a fixed 5.64 (depends on timing to fix the above two issues).

              [edit]
the language pack issue is now fixed (which should also resolve another quirk koopa had reported about it a few months back).

and it's going to be fixed as stated above (and actually am doing it at the moment...). so there will be new 5.64 and 5.7 builds with the fix hopefully later today (once we've finished re-testing things).

                    Winamp 5.6.4.3418
Installed on top of 5.63, no 3rd-party skins or plugins
                    Language Pack: German
                    Skin: Winamp Modern

                    OS: Windows XP 32 bit
                    Locale: German
                    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.17 GHz (2 CPU's)
                    Memory: 4GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost OC
Sound: Creative SB X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional
                    DirectX 9.0c

                    Problem:
Playlist does not show length of tracks by adding them.

                    Method of Reproduction:
                    1. Make sure playlist title settings are set to load all data at once by adding tracks
                    2. Just drag any mp3 file to an empty playlist
                    3. ID3 meta tags are correctly displayed, but length is always 0:00
                    4. Only by playing a track the length will be displayed

This bug was not present in version 5.63 and I had to downgrade.

i need more details than that...

is it the main playlist editor or one of the library playlist views ?
                      what types of files ?
how you're adding them to the playlist editor ?
did you try other file formats ?
did you try with the english version ?

                        - It's the main playlist editor, I have not media library installed
                        - All audio files I've checked so far
                        - I'm just dragging them from folder onto the playlist
                        - Yes, mp3, wav, midi, all the same
                        - Switched to en-US, but no difference

                        I've attached a screenshot, HTH!

on preferences -> titles, what option is enabled for the title reading? if it's not the last one (read in background and on play) then with 5.64 installed, you would need to select it as that will resolve the issue.

as the 4th option is the default on new installs and is only when that is not selected that i can replicate your issue (though i will look to fix it since it relates to some other playlist improvements which shouldn't have caused it).

It's the first one and yes, by selecting the 4th option it works. Thanks for taking care about this issue.

ok, wasn't the option i'd expected but makes sense with the behaviour you were seeing. as long as it gets you back on 5.64 then that's the main thing.
