Could you please try the following:

Winamp -> Prefs -> General Preferences:
Checkmark "allow multiple instances"
Close Prefs
Close Winamp
Reopen Winamp
Go back into Prefs and uncheck "allow multiple instances"
Close prefs
Close & Reopen Winamp.
