Well that worked this time...
I re-added the line:

calendarfile=/home/shoutcast/calendar/dj_calendar.xml

to the config and then loaded.
Though, once I loaded it, it removed everything except two of the lines from the XML file; not sure what the go was there. I re-added my dj code and loaded and it once again and it works like a charm now.
Weird thing is I had this line in once before and didn't work so I removed it in my troubleshooting stage. May have been a combination of things including this but yes, works fine now. Thanks Dr.
