That sounds very promising. I'll give it a try soon.

UPDATE: Hey, it seems to work even without a hash at all...? iTunes does write a hash in there, so I simply assumed it is necessary. But I could zero out this area, and after rebooting the iPhone, it still handled the iTunesDB correctly. That's pretty cool. Thanks for this information!
