"Now Playing" plugin

Uhh, the topic's not really self-explanitory, so I'll explain.

I play games on my PC, and run WinAMP while playing games. I use my Logitech media keyboard to switch tracks, pause, adjust volume, and so on...

I have a huge media library. Sometimes I don't know the exact title of what's on, and sometimes I'd like to. Sometimes I get asked that question and I don't know. Sometimes a song starts that I don't want to hear, and I want to skip over it as soon as I know it's coming.

When I switch tracks and such, I get an overlay in green text (it shows up over EVERYTHING, no matter what's on screen) saying "Next Track", "Previous Track", "Play/Pause", and volume, and so on.

Is there a plugin, or can someone make one, that makes the track name appear somewhere onscreen, overlaid over anything you have open? I would really like to see it, and would use it.

mmmmm, thanks! This is exactly what I'm looking for...except...

It doesn't like being laid over fullscreen games. World of Warcraft and Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic cause it to crop at both sides and flicker very heavily.

You could try adding one/both the options:

NonAlphaSrc=1
OpaqueMode=1
or
NonAlphaSrc=0
OpaqueMode=0

etc to Toaster.ini under the preset you are using, or combinations of the above and see if it helps. You won't have the alpha blending however. Not sure if it will help. I think it may have something to do with the layered windows as used in Windows. I suspect the logitech display is just a regioned window, which is a bit different.

Hmmm, neither seems to have helped, really. Thanks, though.

I Agree, id like to see something like this made, if possible. Just like the plugins that are made that pop up the box with track info, except it overrides any program.
