Looking for Voice-Ripping Plugin

does anyone know of a Plugin that can rip voice out of songs?

There are some voice removal plug-ins here on winamp (to a search for "voice") I haven't had a chance to try 'em yet though...

I would suggest DeFX. I think the others work by simply removing what's common to both the left and right channels. But DeFX adds the option of doing that only for sounds within the normal frequency range of vocals. That way, you can preserve centered instruments that are beyond the typical vocal range. As the version history puts it:

The file name says it's version .95, but it's actually .97.

I tried to download the DeFX, but "the page you tried to access could not be found on this server". Does somebody know where can I download the DeFX?

They target now on XMMS though (the unix counterpart of winamp)
Not sure if it still works with winamp, but it's worth a try.

Please don't revive old threads. This one is arround 6 years old. The posting dates can be found under the member's name next to the Profile button. IMHO, if it is month or older, it is better to start new thread.
