At the moment, it's probably Forest Of Shadows. If you haven't heard them yet (which you probably haven't), then you should. Kind of a mild Gothic Rock band (I think).

Recently, It's Dream Theater that's sucked me in. To the point that I bought thier album and effectively doubled my legal cd collection.

Right now I'm listening to a lot of Emo, so my current favorite bands are Thursday, At the Drive-In, and Boy Hits Car.
Though I must say that my favorite band of all time is Nirvana, if only for the influence that they had on music... |

Oh no not again.
![]() Aerosmith because I like the hard rock style, I like Steven Tyler's singing style which is thick and has lots of unique characteristcs to it. I like the lyrics a lot of the time, they are never about negative things. Take for example, Livin' On The Edge "you can't stop yourself from falling". That means that if you are so daring and you are doing stuff on the spur of the moment, you never know when you might fail. I like the band's attitude. Steven I have heard is a very nice guy and the other guys seem nice. They have been around forever not because of the money but because they are all friends. At least that's what I've heard. btw, anyone know why my sig says just the links? i checked my sig field in the profile editing, but it still is the same as before. with the [img] things Legalize It. hard choice, I have no real one favorite band at this time, but I'll just pick one.
Morbid Angel. they have a lot of groove for any metal band, and a lot of fast grind with guitar solos. trey is a metal guitar god. erik has some kick ass solos. They both have a distinct soloing style. pete has some of the fastest drumming in metal. vocals are brootal yet lyrics are still audible if you understand metal. http://www.morbidangel.com/ |

![]() I agree. Brandon Boyd has a amazing voice whether he's singing or screaming; every album is different and overflowing with emotions; and the lyrics are so beautiful and meaningful. |

I dont have a fav band..I LOVE all music..well almost all/rap and heavy metal are not high on my list.butI have been knownto listen to some.Anyways as I said I like most all music..even other langauges, such as Japanese,Spanish.
My favorite Solo artist I adore is SELENA QUINTANILLA PEREZ:For those who are not familiar with her ,she was a meican/american born in Corpus Cristy Texas,VERY popular singer,in many lands. She was working on an English crossover when her life was taken at age 23 by her fanclub president/who was btw was female and 35 at the time. She shot her/hitting a main artery/vein in her shoulder causing the Tehano singer to bleed to death.Ok I wont go on there is a site if you would like to find more out about her at:http://q-productions.com/ . I sing myself and am VERY versatile...so I do all different types of music.I even sing in Spanish, and of course many of my songs are from Selena. My fav is COMO LA FLOR:means Like a flower ok im done blabbing on..Oh one more :I LOVE CelineDion.ok thats it.ok so I lied heres one more peice of info:There was a movie made about Selena and Jennifer Lopez played her/did a DAMN good job of it if I may say so myself.(That was just put for those who may have not known about the movie) Night all ![]()

I find that a very difficult question to answer - probably the 70s and 80s rock and punk genre... bands such as the Femmes, CVB, the Clash, Lou Reed, Leonard Cohen, Iggy Pop/The Stooges, The Jam, and R.E.M. are all fantastic.
I also rate 60s rock music very highly, with groups like the Stones, the Kinks, and the Who - their songs are absolute classics that have easily stood the test of time. There's a bit of music quite recently that I'd also rate as excellent - Green Day for one, as well as Nickel Back, and Ben Folds actually - his breed of piano-based rock exceptionally appealing. |
