shoutcast and my sound card...

just a quick question... if im using the shoutcast null output plugin, will listeners' audio still be affected by the sound card quality?

well, if you are in null out put mode, this means you must have winamp (not the soundcard) as the DSP source. so basically your sound card makes no difference. you dont even technically need a sound card in this mode.

if you broadcast in "soundcard input" mode and select "what you hear" in the sound card recording mixer, then yes it will effect what the listners hear. you definatly dont want to use null output in this setup either, or the listeners will hear silence! =)
