what causes the dsp to disconnect?

does anyone know what causes the DSP to disconnect and not reconnect automatically? Sometimes it will just stop for no apparent reason and I have to hit connect manually in order for it to work again even if I have auto-recconect selected. I am using DSP 1.8.0 + OTSjuke and it's getting pretty annoying. Please don't tell me to use the new DSP either because I stream at 96kbps and that bitrate is such a horrible quality on the newer DSP.

Does the problem exist using straight Winamp/DSP to a DNAS?

otsjuke --> sam stacker --> 2 X dsp 1.8.0 --->dnas

The problem was much worse when I used winamp. I just managed to get the SAM encoder working with otsjuke which allows me to use my own codecs along with multiple streams. lets hope this works.

Do you think the problem can occur as a result of weak pings? my pings have been up and down latetly.

If the DSP and DNAS are not on the same machine than a slow network will cause drops in the DSP. A way to avoid this is to setup a local DNAS and then set the broadcast DNAS up to relay the local DNAS.
As far as the Bad Request this is due to the DSP sending improperly encoded data. Usually it is a space in your AIM, ICQ or IRC entry.

I thought the bad request was due to improper entries in the AIM ICQ and IRC entry but I'm pretty sure I have it configured properly. Tried various combinations, spaces, no spaces etc and it still wont work.

K! I've had this problem to!
I've searched all over the place but no luck!!

Basically, I can stream, but this is only if I use WIN AMP to play a MP3 trough the program. But as soon as I select SOUNDCARD, then Shoutcast 1.8.0 DSP goes nutty & will lock off the server after a few secs!! Any one know the reason for this??

Thanx in advance!
