behind a school network firewall?

I think i'm getting it close to functioning properly. but I get an error message:
<01/20/03@18:37:55> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<01/20/03@18:37:55> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (404 Cannot see your station/computer from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache)

I know there are other posts about this error, that say to stop any firewalls on your computer and etc., but would my school network still have some sort of firewall up preventing people from the 'internet' to upload from the school network?

I turned the internet sharing function off, and turned off the built-in firewall (my OS is XPpro). I also changed the Yport from 80 to 666 (like someone suggested) but then the error became even worse:
<01/20/03@18:44:25> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<01/20/03@18:44:25> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 143.207.69.144:80) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out)

Thanks for the help in advance

Are the necessary ports (default 8000 and 8000+1) being forwarded to the DNAS machine?

festerhead, i have the ports set to 80 (81) because when i have it set to port 8000 it gives me a fatal error. and yes its being forwarded.

nevermind, now i got it working on port 8000 (8001). but now i get the pretty common error:
<01/21/03@19:55:04> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<01/21/03@19:55:04> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 143.**.**.*44:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))

but the thing is, that IS my IP so i dont know why its saying that. but SUPPOSINGLY they have that in the frequently asked questions section...even though it doesn't help me. haha.

the connection is blocked. contact the network administrator and have them open incoming port 8000 to your computer.

Please let me know if you got a fix for your Firewall problem, I'm getting the same thing and if I disable it, it works great. Problem is I can't disable it or my company would scream !
