Help a newbie? :-D
alright, i use windows XP, i have a wireless network connection ( to my computer downstairs) when i try to broadcast i get the error
"[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 24.195.205.28:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))" i have changed the Yport to 666, now i hear everyone saying make sure the gateway or something needs to be set to port 8000, or 8001 how do i do this? would this be the problem i am having? and that ip address isnt mine i know this has been asked a million times, but i just dont know how to changed the gateway port, or whatever |

Are the necessary ports open in your firewall and are they being forwarded to the DNAS machine?

Question: is 24.195.205.28 your IP, if not then you are behind a proxy, usually implemented by your ISP, this is well known to cause problems with YP services.
how would i go bout fixin that? |
