Everything fine...then BAM! STATIC

every so often I get static when I'm dj-ing. Everything will be fine, then all of a sudden, BAM! just goes nuts. I usually just touch every single audio setting and I usually hit something that makes it stop. I'd like to make it stop completely. Any clues?

Do you have a SB Live! by any chance?

i had a similar prob with my sblive. after switching to kx drivers (http://come.to/sblive) it was perfect ever since. sometimes downgrading to an older version of the creative drivers can help too (thx tom!).
