relaying problems

we setup a relay type of thing, and all was working well. then today, we switched our relay server to another host, which has another ip. but whenever the main server is full and tries to relay the shoutcast server wants to forward it to the first relay host we had, and will not go to the new one, even though the new host connected to the server. any ideas why this is happening? please help, because i have no clue why this happening. i even reinstalled the shoutcast server, samething happens.
