Linking my stream
I have discovered that the link to my radio on the shoutcast radio directory changes, so I need to know how to provide a link to my stream that will always be the same.
So I did some research, and read that I should just enter my IP and port into a URL addres, something looking like this: htt://myipaddress:port But I did that, and tested it on another computer, but it didn't work! Where did I go wrong? By the way, I am using my own server, on my own computer, so it is suppose to be my home ip, right? |

Remember, lan machines need to use the lan ip of the DNAS to connect/listen.
Non-lan machines need to use the non-lan ip (the real, world-visible ip) of the DNAS to connect/listen. You can get a static name, such as foo.bar.com (although it won't be as pretty ), at http://www.no-ip.comThen, in addidion to giving out the links: DNAS link: http://foo.bar.com:yourDNASport Listen link: http://foo.bar.com:yourDNASport/listen.pls You can also give out: DNAS link: http://yourDNASip:yourDNASport Listen link: http://yourDNASip:yourDNASport/listen.pls |
