1 minute lag..wtf?
I've tested with the lowest quality, the highest quality, and everything in between. I had one person connect to me using Winamp and then Realtime or some non-winamp thing. But they didn't start to hear the song I was playing until about 1 minute after I had started the song.
Any ideas? --EDIT: Just tried it again, now I'm down to 24 seconds. The original time was actually more about 40 seconds. |

they're buffering? Or is it that the song continues to play ... but they can't hear it?

There is a buffer in the DNAS of about 1 MB. This increases the QoS, if you are looking for a real-time solution SHOUTcast is not for you.

Eh not real time, but I was hoping I could do some live talking nonsense if I could find a program that would allow it. So a 20-second or so lag is usual between the DJ and the listeners?
