Yport? Problems

Okay lets try this again. I am using a Linksys Router and I have the thing setup to have Port 8000 to 8001 open.
Now my question is what is the Yport and why should it be set to 80 or 666? It will not work for me on 80. When I switch it over to 666 it works fine.

Now my big question is

lets say I am broadcasting on 24.24.24.24:8000

How do I go about changing that 8000 to 80 or 8080? I have made the change in the config of the server to reflect portbase=80 or 8080 and have forward those ports also but I can not get it to work.
I require this to work on Port 80 or 8080 and how can I make this so?

My system is Windows 98 and I am running a Cable Internet provider.
