Help with setting up
Hi guys,
I am trying to help someone set everything up but there seems to be a problem. We have installed everything on the pc and thats fine but its broadcasting the audio. She is using a network with two pc's and both are connected to the net (Broadband)I can tell you to that she is not usinig a firewall. Are the necessary ports open in your firewall and are they being forwarded to the DNAS machine?

Well if your port is default and you have linksys router:
open internet expolor and type in http://192.168.1.1 in the password area type "admin" go to advanced, then to forwarding. There you tell it to forward: 8000 8000 TCP 8001 8001 TCP (i dunno if ur range can just be 8000-8001 i nvr tried it and that way worked for me.) Then it should work. |
