Listeners can't hear radio through embedded Win Media Player 7.1
Hi!
My radio's homepage broadcasts stream by means of embedded player (RealPlayer or Media Player, whichever one is installed on client's machine). There are no problems for RealPlayer users, however, those using Windows Media Player 7.1 can't listen. My ShoutCast server identifies them and disconnets immediately after the very first second (saying it sent 8192 bytes and then disconnected the user). Sometimes the connection works but far more often it breaks down. There seem to be less problems with Windows Media Player 9 (I am not certain with that though). I know that the latest version of Shoutcast provides the ability to use the http://ip:port/listen.m3u feature but all my attempts to play around it failed. May anyone advise as to whether it is possible to fix this problem somehow. You may check code for the main page with all scripts at http://www.zuki*****index.php Many thanks in advance. -Rustis |

WMP 7.1 does not work well with SHOUTcast streams.
Check out FreedomAudio for good embedded solution. |
