Begin rant:

MetaDB should be in sync with the files it contains. More specifically: if a column in the DB is updated, the corresponding field in the tag should be updated. By another thread. After that file has stopped playing. Not by stopping it itself. If there are multiple tag types, there should be a preferences option to select between them (i.e. ID3v2/v1). If the tag format doesn't support the column name, then don't bother, otherwise, add a field of that name. Hell, give the user the option not to add the field if it doesn't exist, but there's no point in having a media library if it doesn't accurately reflect the files it contains.

This would make it sooo much easier to work than this shit.
