Major Problem

I can connect to shoutcast and everything but evryone tells me they've connected to my radio station but there is no sound...why is that? I read the log and it said something like "Starting Stream" or sumthin and then it says "Stream Closed." Is that related to my problem?

Looks good

You must not be up now, though because http://www.shoutcast.com search says "Unfortunately, there weren't any SHOUTcast streams found containing the term Backdoor."

Please post a link to your stream.

Link bot:
DNAS link: http://yourDNASip:yourDNASport
Listen link: http://yourDNASip:yourDNASport/listen.pls

Replace yourDNASip with the ip of the DNAS (SHOUTcast server) and yourDNASport with the DNAS port (default is 8000)

Also, machines on the same lan as the DNAS (you) need to use the lan ip of the DNAS to connect/listen.
Machines not on the same lan as the DNAS (the rest of the world) need to use the real, world-visible ip of the DNAS to connect/listen.

See RFC1918 for more information. Scroll down and look for the section titled: 3. Private Address Space

How to find your ip address (Part I).
How to find your ip address (Part II).

Finally, you can get a static name, such as foo.bar.com (not as cool as that, though ) from http://www.no-ip.com or one of the other myriad of Dynamic DNS Services.
Then, your links would be:
DNAS link: http://foo.bar.com:yourDNASport
Listen link: http://foo.bar.com:yourDNASport/listen.pls

But why can't other people hear it? I'll turn it on and if you've got time can you connect and find out?

You're basically broadcasting silence. What is the Input set to under the input tab of the DSP? What type of files are you playing (i.e. mp3, CDs, wma, etc.)?
