Cannot see http:// for my server or "tune in".
Hi
I have been using an old version of the SHOUTcast DNAS Server until today (lol), upgrading to the latest version. The problem I have now is the server says the stream is connected but I cannot listen to it through WMP or view the server page (http://myip:port). Here's what the event log window says: <02/22/03@04:35:55> [SHOUTcast] DNAS/win32 v1.9.2 (Nov 25 2002) starting up... <02/22/03@04:35:55> [main] loaded config from C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast\sc_serv.ini <02/22/03@04:35:55> [main] initializing (usermax:5 portbase:9620)... <02/22/03@04:35:55> [main] No ban file found (sc_serv.ban) <02/22/03@04:35:55> [main] No rip file found (sc_serv.rip) <02/22/03@04:35:55> [main] opening source socket <02/22/03@04:35:55> [main] source thread starting <02/22/03@04:35:55> [main] opening client socket <02/22/03@04:35:55> [source] listening for connection on port 9621 <02/22/03@04:35:55> [main] error opening client socket! FATAL ERROR! Some other process is using this port! <02/22/03@04:36:01> [source] connected from 80.4.9.137 <02/22/03@04:36:02> [source] icy-name:.:: NON-STOP! ::. -==- Can Your Subs Take It? -==- ; icy-genre:Trance <02/22/03@04:36:02> [source] icy-pub:1 ; icy-br:48 ; icy-url: <02/22/03@04:36:02> [source] icy-irc: ; icy-icq: ; icy-aim: Now, I have a firewall but it still says FATAL ERROR even when I switch it off (even so, the firewall is configured so it can work). 9620 is the port number I have configured. Also, 80.4.9.137 is my old IP (it recently changed earlier today -- dynamic). Reason for this is because I use a hostname from no-ip.com, which still points to my old IP. If I enter the hostname or my old IP as shown, it connects. If I use my current new IP it does not connect. If I use localhost it connects with IP 127.0.0.1. I presume once it "connects" it is using port 9621? When I go to http://80.4.9.137:9621 I get Page Cannot Be Displayed. I have tried port 9620, and in my firewall and netstat it displays a random port number for Winamp (usually around 3500). Even if I try with my new IP I get the same It is saying my stream is connected but is not listed on shoutcast.com and I cannot access html from the server. What am I doing wrong? With the older version I had I could use it fine, although I could never go public because it would see my IP incorrectly. Sorry for a long post, and I tried searching through the forums for an answer but results didn't seem connected to my problem. Thanks in advance for any reply. |

If you set DestIP in sc_serv.ini change it back to ANY. Otherwise you have something already using port 9620 on your machine.

Ahhh, firstly, thanks for quick reply..
I did what you said, and it now doesn't say anything is using the port (I tried many different ports). It still only goes live if I enter my old IP in the Source plugin window under address. If I enter my current IP it does nothing. <02/22/03@04:52:55> [source] connected from 80.4.9.137 (not my IP) <02/22/03@04:52:55> [source] icy-name:.:: NON-STOP! ::. -==- Can Your Subs Take It? -==- ; icy-genre:Trance <02/22/03@04:52:55> [source] icy-pub:1 ; icy-br:48 ; icy-url: <02/22/03@04:52:55> [source] icy-irc: ; icy-icq: ; icy-aim: (At this point I usually get an error from shoutcast, <02/22/03@04:52:20> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak) <02/22/03@04:52:20> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 62.252.32.4:9620) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection refused)) -- probably due to my ISP, but that isn't happening now... even though it is not my IP that is "connected from".) |

I think that (80.4.9.137) is still your IP because I can see your DNAS so it has to point to your machine. Change Yport to 666 in sc_serv.ini and see what happens (NOTE: it is called Yport don't confuse this with PortBase).
