everything but the music
Hello all,
We have just installed a shoutcast server (1.9.2) on a PIII 350 with 256MB RAM and we are having an issue with it. Local LAN clients can connect just fine, but when clients outside of the domain connect they get a progress bar with the message, "Reading Stream". After 62 seconds the server closes the connection. I notice on the admin page that the server, "is private". is this the problem? Thanks, David Russell, Station Manager CFUR FM |

I talked with the school network guys and I think I understand what is happening. They have recently installed a sniffer to stamp out the mp3 traffic moving back and forth from the residence. They will have to do some filter tweaking to allow a stream from our server.
