New router killed Shoutcast listening

I just replaced my linksys wired router with a Netgear wireless router, and all of a sudden I can't listen to any of the Shoutcast stations listed on the web. The router does NAT, just like the old one, so I don't know what's any different. I do have WEP enabled, but that hasn't seemed to bother anything else. I have the pretty standard router setup. DHCP, NAT, RIP Routing... I shouldn't need port forwarding for listening purposes.... Anyone have a clue?

hmm,
try opening standard shoutcast ports (8000-8001) for incomming connects, that is if your router has that feaure, I know some do,
also I've heard of a bug where dhcp enabled clients have trouble where useing NAT connection sharing.

just a thought...

Also, go update the firmware on your router. I have run into this several times, most notably with a Linksys router, but with other versions as well. Sometimes the firmware just doesn't handle port forwarding correctly (Port 8000 MUST be forwarded to access the stream from outside).. Alternatively, you can attempt to place your machine on the DMZ if the router offers it, but that will make all ports open to the outside world.
