Old Topic, New Twist
As has been discussed before, I am having trouble using my mic when trying to live DJ my Shoutcast performances... I have set the input device to soundcard input and it acts correct except for nothing coming from the mic. I go to the soundcard mixer and change the recording control from Wave Out to Microphone and all I get is microphone with no background music.
The sound card is the standard SoundMax that is integrated into the motherboard on the Dells... Any suggestions??? |

Did the FAQ entry help? Seems like you're missing an active mixer entry.
Check out the Sticky post titled: SHOUTcast: Important Info & Answers to FAQs. READ ME! Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled: DSP Issues -> Using the Microphone with Music |

Found the answer
Well...
After a lot of trying, I found the answer (at 2:00 am). First, I installed a Dell provided driver instead of the one native in Win2k. Second, in the mixer, on volume controls, I now had the mic output, but it was muted, so I unchecked the mute and all is working as it should. (The driver replacement idea was from one of the threads in regards to a SBLive, but it worked here also.) Thanks for the help all!!! Aubrey Lee Quidley IV |
