Picture of the day [April 6]
While the allied powers are still fighting against the Iraqi soldiers in Baghdad and Basra, it became calm and comparably peaceful in the city Umm Kasr (at the harbor). US marine soldiers have their picture taken with the enemy.
Once again: no war discussion in here or it will be moved like a POTD before, I want you to talk about your taking picture habits...do you hate having your picture taking or do you love it? Are you running around capturing everything on your camera to remember things better or to prove it to others that you have "really been there" (or something like that) or do you rather keep things in your memory? Discuss! Mia

I'm getting a digital camera for my birthday
. I've always wanted to take loads of picures but film is too expensive , I hate with a passion being the person in the limelight, an thus my picture being taken. I'm more a person in the background, the person noone knows about but without whom things would just stop. Perhaps this is why I like being an engineer rather than a manager or saleman. This whole celebrity news and gissip thing fills me with rage and disbelief.Oh and the whole thing with SH firing a gun is a national pride and harmony thing. It's like the hand on the heart of Americans when they sing the national anthem. It's definatly not an aggressive gesture but an act of patriotism and national togetherness. |

I am an amatuer photographer. I love taking photos. In fact I have my camera with me almost all the time. Never know when youre going to stumble upon a great phot subject. I would love to go digital but can't afford it.

Good picture of people taking a picture of a picture...
![]() But as for picture taking, I don't normally like standing around having my picture taken for some reason. Some times, I'll do it because "I'm with family/friends", other times it's just because "I'm having a good time anyway". I don't like it when other people go around with a camera, taking random pictures of people and I'm one of them. Sorta pisses me off, especially if I'm trying to do something, like I'm at a party, or I'm eating. Once, my friend took a bad picture of me, because he made me look like a criminal... ![]() But as for me taking pictures, I kinda like doing it. I've got a digital cam, and I usually like taking pictures of cars and sport bikes, skateparks and roads, and stuff like that. I don't take pictures of people standing around, unless someone wants me to do it for them. I'd rather have action in my pictures, when it comes to people. At least give it life, like make a goofy stance/face. Go skate or ride a bike, and pull off a trick. I enjoy taking pictures of people more if they enjoy having their picture taken as well...
A very close Japanese friend I knew a while ago once said to me "Watashi no koto wo oboeta, onegai shimasu...Yakusoku?" I forgot his name though... |
