How hard would it be to allow you to attach stuff when you edited your post? I only say this because I hang out the skins forums as well, and I see a lot of posts where people have to double post because they forgot an attachment. (happens here too with Error questions and whatnot) Just another idea for the forums by me (yea i know, you all are prbly tired of my ideas, but o well, sux to be y'all )

It would be difficult because the coding of these forums would have to be worked out and the corrections would have to be made. For some reason these forums don't support that as an option.

Just select the attachment before typing your post, that way you'll never forget (i've been doing it for a while now).

Or alternatively, use your webspace instead.

I like the forums of the french Winamp website much better. This forum is easy to look at, that one has more options.

It's kinda cool, but there is something about it. It's like those French people have a different word for EVERYTHING. What's up with that anyway.

the winampFR thing uses phpBB, that's the system that a few sites use, usually for smaller forums (although i'm not sure why). other ones are invisionboard, which pabuk uses, and you tend to see for "medium-sized" boards, and vBulletin, which is what we use here, which i see used for larger boards a lot.

can't say i know, why, i've just noticed these things...

i think the attachments thing is a security issue - like it doesn't check if you're allowed to post attachments in that forum before you edit it, whereas it does when you post a new reply (this is supported by the fact that you can change the attachment on a post as long as it already has an attachment, proving that you were allowed to post that attachment).

It shouldn't be that hard with vB as all the code is already done, you just have to copy and paste and do some minor editing.

winamp france is cool! I liek that forum style, but I have seen it other places. ANd i don't know anythign about eh code, so that is hwat I wodnered, if it would be extremly difficult to make ti so you can fix the attachment, and i don't see what the security flaw woudl be. if I attach a pic then edit, it still won't let me atach .swf or anythign liek that.
