Lightbulb Color Masking

since i was using color clip quite often lately, how about this:

it's something like a mixture of color clip and picture/picture ii, one can select a color (+/- tolerance) and load an image file, which will then be masked just on the color(-range).

Nice idea
It would be even more usafull if we had an output/input blend for effect lists and buffers that would use replace if pixel is in selected color(+/-tolerance) and ignore else.

add that Color Mask effect to a preset of your choice, select a color(-range) and load an image file. the image will then only be displayed within that color(-range)

Yeah, that would be c00l. I work on something like that (see Color Bit Mapper). Maybe we should try to create a 3 in 1 ape (combine this one, picture 2 and mine) with 3 modes, rendering, mapping and masking...

i think the most important missing features for any picture ape would be PNG and SVG

SVG would require a fast, high-quality vector renderer... volunteers?

Hm, drawing vector graphics shouldnt be that bad, and there should also be enough stuff about this in the net. Only thing is, how do we decode the file?
