variable limit

It there some kind of sign when you hit the variable limit, or do new variables just not work?

Whatever you put it in breaks apparently. The entire DM/scope whatever just fucks up. What is the variable limit anyway?

I think it's around 65.

All I know is I'm making variables, and they can't hold a value.

64 subtracted by the default variables or so. (Or at least, what we think)
So that's around 57 is DM and 54 is SSCs.
Thankfully, you can use some of the default variables as custom variables (Most well known are the color channels in SSC)

the number of variables you can have is 64, including default variables.
SSC = 9 default variables, 55 custom
DM = 8 default, 56 custom
DDM = 3 default, 61 custom
DS = 6 default, 58 custom
Bump = 5 default, 59 custom

if i counted wrong, let me know...

Remember though that when you type something like "red=1", then AVS will also create the variables "r" and "re" (because it compiles as you type.

Reload your preset to flush unused vars... sometimes it also crashes when you go above the limit.

Cool. Thanks guys. Looks like I'm going to have to take some customizability out of my cube.
