Tried it...
Several days later, have tried over and over to get DNAS Shoutcast and sc_serv to work. According to the previous message, it is a straight forward install.
Unfortunately, it is not working. And I cannot raise any help either. Is everyone Windows based? |

Hello Again Matt,
Do you need a ssh account to a regular shell, or do you need root access on this particular box? tx, looking forward to it... |

dont give me root access
just give me a standard user account create two folders in /usr/local /usr/local/sc_trans /usr/local/sc_serv give me write access to both directories copy the sc_trans tar file to /usr/local/sc_trans and the shoutcast tar file to /usr/local/sc_serv then thats it i will set it up for u i want nothing in return, just doing it as a favour |

Not to butt in here...
But if its not too much trouble matt, maybe you could post suggestions here too. I'm trying to get my server up and after changing a few settings (SampleRage to InputSampleRate) I finally have it working, but playing music at a very high speed. I've re-encoded all my mp3's to stereo @ 56kbps and set my settings 56000/22050/2. <shrug>
Any help is always appreciated, maybe even just a working configuration file for reference (after discovering the Input errors I'm not 100% confident of the example Linux configuration files). |
