sc_trans linux sample rate bug
I get this error sometimes. Sometimes it is printed serveral times at once.
"Warning: input file samplerate is 22050 Hz, must be 44100!" Somtimes it is not 22050, somtimes it gives a weird number like -1082131772 This also is not specific to one file. Some mp3 files always get this message. Sometimes a mp3 plays fine, then gets this error later, then is able to play it fine again later. I am running this on linux. |

Check out the results from a SHOUTcast forum search on 'sc_trans sample rate'.
Look for a post by Gast titled: Samplerate warning Note: Other search criteria may yield more results. |

I did a search before posting this message and I already saw that message.
When this warning message appears, the song is skipped. |

just make sure the mp3 is properly encoded mp3, don't use mp3's you downloaded from the net.
and make sure they are standard frequency mp3's 44100. I have not seen this problem yet. I generally have mp3's that are encoded at 160kbps 44100hz and in stereo and encode to 96kbps 44100hz stereo. -Jay | Radio Toolbox.com |

I encoded all the mp3s myself.
(or re-encoded) thay are all at 44100 Most were encoded with LAME. I'll double check, but I'm pretty sure there are not any mp3s that were no made by me. Also, why would some mp3s only get the error message some of the time and play fine other times. |

who knows, it's a beta could be a bug. My mp3's are encoded with fraunhoffer, but I can't see why lame wouldn't work, as they use that to encode.

nullsoft isn't know for giving out source code on stuff like this. If I were you I would check out libshout and other nix based sourcing tools I know a few of them are open source.

nah, it would probably be easier for me to just re-encode the problem mp3 files.

Weird, I thought this problem started going (confined to specific files) but I think its spreading. I now files that have worked before are getting the error somtimes, and not getting the error other times.
