Help!

I just installed DSL, and now I can't broadcast. I just changed my encoder info. to a higher quality mp3 and such. But now I get the error:

<06/12/03@10:35:50> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<06/12/03@10:35:50> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 65.173.77.140:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection refused))

What gives?

Open port 8000 on your firewall/router.

a router: a box that distributes internet conections to multiple computers

a firewall: restricts access for programs, ports, and hackers.
What router do you have. Do you even have a router?

I guess I don't have either one of those. What could my problem be? I broadcasted just fine with my good ole 56k modem. I havent changed anything except my mp3 quality.

I guess I am behind a proxy because the IP that it showed is not the same as I get at whatismyip.com. What can I do to broadcast? Why could I before, but not anymore? confused
