Disconnection to Streamers
Hi, i own a SB Audigy 2 and i use SAM dsp...when i try to connect to my streaming server, i get disconnected after 2 minutes. My partners have the same dsp as i do and they seem to be streaming fine..anyone know why that might be?

Do you host your DNAS or does a third party?

DNAS is hosted by a third party. The shoutcasting is fine if I am casting, but once I start up a game, to cover the action, the 2 minute timer begins. Once it hits 2 minutes, I loose the stream and disconnect from the server.

More info on this problem
OS: Win2k (updated) Processor: P4 2Ghz Soundcard: Creative Audigy2 (Primary), PCI16 (Secondary) RAM: 2Gb RAM DDR Connection: ADSL 768/768 I have Winamp 2.91 with the SAM2 DSP installed. I connect to a third party server in order to cast. I successfully connect to the server and then start the game I will be shoutcast (in this case, Quake 3). During troubleshooting, I have been minimizing the game screen to watch the connectivity. I go into a spectator mod and wait for approximately 2 minutes, at that time, the stream is lost and I disconnect. The application will try to reconnect 15 seconds later, but fails. I will shut down Winamp and restart the application and can reconnect...for another 2 minutes. Now, if I do not start a game, like Quake 3 and run a shoutcast using the third party server, I do not loose the connection. |

More testing revealed that the the Shoutcast DSP, 1.8.2b works without any sorta of unplanned disconnection. Still trying to sort through SAM2 issues...any ideas, anyone?
