error to do with network and firewall

<06/13/03@15:35:52> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 81.77.166.188:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection refused)) this is the error code i get can anbody help me with this |

have u got a firewall instead???
also do u have windows xp, cos it has a built in firewall if u have installed a firewall then open up port 8000, or whichever port your setup the dnas shoutcast server to use |

I dont use xp i may have a firewall working on my LAN host but i doubt it should restrict it because we have prevented it from causing most problems but there are some things i cant do like dcc on irc and send on msn this might be the reason why

ahhh ur on a lan, well then the system that is directly connected to the net has to forward requests on port 8000 to the dnas machine
or, if you use a router, you gotta set it up to forward requests on port 8000 to your dnas machine |
