No Firewall + No ME

Hi there, I was wondering. Since you must turn off all your firewalls isnt there a way someone can hack you? I am going to be gone for 2 weeks on vaction and Im not sure how I can have my PC protected while I am away. I want to have my station up yet come home to my comp and see it normal? Any suggestions etc...?

If you configure your firewall properly there is no need to turn it off.

lol with zone alarm u will get hacked even if its running haha :P

nah seriously, get something a bit mroe secure, something like a symantec firewall.

then open up the ports that ur system uses

you should NEVER have all ports open on a system acting as a server

Or, try a hardware router and only open/forward necessary ports to associated services.

I'm running ZA with my station fine. What I have found works best is

1) Lower Program settings to 1 knoch below what it currently is
2) Have All the check Marks on Shoutcast
3) Lower the Firewall to the medium knotch
4) Have a router help you prevent further intrudtions
5) Get Norton as additional help
