What songs do you play to get a party kick-started?
You have a social-gathering situation. What would you play to get it kick-started?

I haven't really done much of this but I think Red Alert by Basement Jaxx would work well.

The entirety of Incubus' S.CI.E.N.C.E.
The weirdness at the end of the CD just starts great conversation (mostly starting with "Holy shit, I never knew this was on here!") |

My parties usually start off with a few songs off of...
Limp Bizkit - Chocolate Starfish & The Hot Dog Flavored Water Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory & Meteora Hot Action Cop - Self-titled Album MTV Icon: Metallica (Downloaded all the songs from the tribute off the internet and burned them to a CD) Alice Cooper Goes To Hell (OK, maybe just "Go To Hell" off the CD just for reactions... )AC/DC - Live (Has live songs off the Razor's Edge Tour in 1991) Don't really host mellow parties, soo... A very close Japanese friend I knew a while ago once said to me "Watashi no koto wo oboeta, onegai shimasu...Yakusoku?" I forgot his name though... |

Overseer - Horn Dog.
It's the song they play on the Mitsubishi Endeavor commercials. btw - Mr. 007, the lyrics are the words to the song, not the actual song itself. I don't know if you knew that, but....yeah. "It's like saying give a man a Les Paul guitar and he becomes Eric Clapton, and of course that's not true, give a man an amplifier and a synthesizer and he doesn't become...whoever; he doesn't become us." - Roger Waters |
