Streaming legally can be very expensive and time consuming. Typically you must pay about $2,530 per year in licensing fees and you must submit detailed playlist and listener reports every quarter. However, an alternative is available which may be of interest to you:
http://swcast.net/ Once you have found a SHOUTcast streamhost, you just follow just a few simple rules, and you are covered. You can also register for power features like daily activity reports, automated program schedules, listener feedback notification, XML/Javascript statistics APIs, custom preroll sweeper hosting, etc. --Randall Executive Director, SWCI www.smallwebcaster.org // Redefining Music Royalties for Small Webcasters Legal Disclaimer: The information hereinbefore is not intended to constitute legal advice or consultation nor does it form a legally binding contract. |
