For me, country. I can't put my finger on why exactly, but somethign about that accent, with that guitar, ick! The weirdest thing is that I am from texas, and I get my accent back every now and again.

Country - Horrible music and lyrics
Pop - Some of the worst music, and the whole "pop culture" where everyone wears the same thing just because britney spears wears it is crap.

i'm not "texan" lived there for 8 years, have the same problem.

anyways, i can't stand Tejano/Cumbia music, we call it the Mexican Carnival music (apologizing to Lobo ahead of time), it just drives me up the wall hearing it and the outfits they wear

also, i don't like "gangsta" rap, don't identify with it, and i find most of the lyrics offensive

techno music is 50-50, i have to be in a certain mood to listen, even then, i don't like most of what i hear.

hard metal, again i don't identify with it, just a little too much rage for me.

and that's it for now. i'll probably think of more later.

oh yes! how coudl i forget rap? it is all the same! well, some of if it. I do like some rap, like eminem. And jsut becasue he is white and all that, but he doesn't jsut talk about shooting people, getting high, and rollin' on dubs w/ his 'bitchez and hoez.' Sure the whole 'i'm going to kill my mom/ex wife thing gets a bit old, but majority of his 'songs' i like.

I agree that rap sucks. I mean, I think the should really correct that spelling error where people forget to put that much deserved 'c' at the beginning. The only thing remotely resembling rap that I like is Linkin Park. I don't like Eminem. I feel that he ruins good songs by using them as his background music. But that's just my opinion. I also hate the entire hiphop genre, at least those people who sing about their girls and drugs and "bling bling" and stuff like that. I hate any music that is done more in the pursuit of profit than for the actual love of making music. That's about it.
(Oh, and Ashanti... the music is decent, but do they have to say "Murder Inc." at the beginning of every song? It's a form of artistic expression, not an ad campaign for a record company.)

The world is made of conflicts: good and evil, order and chaos, light and dark, hot and cold. All are essential to life. None can prevail for any length of time, or life will fail. In the end, the best any can hope for is balance.

Ditto. I hate that pop that's marketed as "punk" too, like Avril, Good Charlotte, and Simple Plan.

I hate Heavy Metal more than any other genre; the reason being that it's based on Anti-Christ/evil themes. As a firm believer in relegion, I definitely wouldn't listen to that shit.

In general, I don't care for death metal or heavy metal or any other generally angry music. I don't like to pollute my brain with negative emotions.

I don't really like rap much, I had a couple of guys in one of my classes who said that the difference between rap and hip-hop was that rap is all that crap about how rich they are and how many bitches they have and how many gangsta's they shot etc.. and hip-hop is they people who do it because they love doing it and don't care about the glamour and the money. I think that's a pretty good distinction.

I don't like country either, I had a nightmare once that this horrible country song came on the radio of the place I was at in the dream and I couldn't find anywhere to change the station or turn the radio off. It was a really bad song so i decided to leave the house and go outside to avoid it, but when I got outside it was still playing. I figured there must be outdoor speakers or something so I'll just walk down the street aways and I'll be out of earshot. The music followed me, it never diminished. I covered my ears but that didn't help, I stared freaking out. I ran down the street screaming and crying with my arms wrapped around my head. None of it helped. I woke up and found that my radio alarm had been set to a country music station. That sucked.

Music that I don't like:
Heavy Metal or Rock bands with lead "singers" that do nothing but scream into the mike. Yeah, that's some real talent there!
Gangsta Rap. (Not to offend anyone, but my son calls this Retards Attempting Poetry.) I don't want to hear about people who have nothing better to do than kill cops, pimp their whores, and slap up their bitches. Slap this bitch, and see what happens!
Twangy Country Music or anything resembling it *cough*Lucinda Williams*cough*. It's one thing to speak with a Southern accent. I slip into either a North Carolina or a Texas drawl once in a while. It's quite another thing to incorporate that into a song.
Pop that's dominated by females who sing like little girls, and BOY BANDS!!! Aaarrrggghhh....it makes me want to light something on fire.

I can't say I hate any music genre. I've always found something from genre that I like. The two that I would come closest to hating would be Gangsta Rap and Country. Yet I like some of Snopp Dogg's stuff (mainly for its comedic value). And as far as country, I love some the early pioneers like Hank Williams Sr, Bill Monroe, etc.

I see no stinking sig! Do you see a stinking sig?

If its mucsic it has to be rock metal or punk, nothing more nothing less.

Not all of it, please don't generalize about things after you've heard only one or two songs (or worse, from what you saw on the news). I can't stand you bible-thumpers and your dogma for those very reasons.

some of you feel that metal is just screaming and anger, that's far from how i see it, though there is some that is, metal is plainly a type of music (the best type there is)
also about the anti-christ thing, in some cases that's true, but there is also christian metal, in fact some of my fav overall metal is christian (Extol, The Agony Scene), metal is a varied genre and should not be generalized

on the side of hate: pop, new 'metal' and rap
but i can find some good in almost every genre including pop and rap (and even country/oldies, like Johnny Cash)

Tacky manufactured 'cater to the masses' bands.
Nu metal (no need to shout).
R&B (you need a tune to go with that beat).
Latino.
Anything considered 'slippers & cardigan' music.

Whatever happened to teen angst music????

I used to feel the same way about techno, but it's evolved alot since 2001.

I defy you to hate:
Waldorf - You're My Disco
Hong Kong Counterfeit - Metal Disco (Legowelt Remix)
Alpinestars - Vital Love Disciple
Legowelt - Sturmvogel
DMX Krew - Good Time Girl

I'm allergic to Morrissey. Seriously, I cannot stand the sound of his voice. I've always been told that The Smiths are a great band, but I've never been able to listen to a song all the way through. Probably my loss, but there you are.

There's no need to tell me when I'm right;
I operate on that principle exclusively and with absolute certainty
