Are using a fingerpad mouse? (I'm not sure what they call it)
If so, sorry, I have a regular one. And I'm really not sure what you're talking about either....do you mean the pointer trails option? I've never heard of the rippling pond thing.... Ok I know what you're saying now, I've just never used that before.
Go to the control panel > Mouse properties > pointer options > there's a box that you can uncheck to disable that. Well I have Windows Me, so it's different. But I think you could find it in the 'motion' page.

Well I'm not gonna give up on ya!
Did you look at all the pages? It could have been on a different one. Try mouse help..... Here's a screeshot of mine, just in case it helps somehow. It should be there. I use Windows98-XP Pro, and in my options of both WindowsXP Pro and WindowsXP home, there is a tab specifically named: Pointer Options.
Open this, and it is shown by WindowsXP Home & Pro and it shows that Windows isn't stupid, but that it is there. Its under "Change the Look or Behavior of the Pointer > Improve the visibility of the mouse pointer". Thats what you're meaning, this little pond ripply feature. C:\Windows\Help\mouse.chm |

change your theme if you are using that special pack that came out with windows milenium... What was it called...? It added a load of themes and I remember it had one that when you clicked the mouse, you got a ripple effect -Fucking annoying. Only place I can think it comes from.
I think the theme pack worked in 98 as well or the first of them had been appearing around that time. Not sure on 95 but would assume it would work on that system as well. Surely some one remembers the thing? sorry egg, had to add that ![]() ~ ![]() editjust looked at what you posted- your in Xp? em it is in your mouse properties Image Music is Life, Love and Happiness :|: Life is Music.
