Cool Sexy Songs

due to a trip down memory lane inspired by some recent posts here in music, i "dug" out some older CD's and found one by Depeche Mode. the song "World in My Eyes" is pure sexiness to me. it has inspired some fond memories for me. so, nosy person that i am, i was wondering what song or music that you've listened to has inspired lustful thoughts?

That old 80's song by Modern English, "I Melt With You".

I see no stinking sig! Do you see a stinking sig?

Is that a song about ice-cream in the sun then randman?

Also anything by W.I.T. or Miss Kittin. With the latter, I always take a pillow to the stage show.

Ivy - Only a fool would say that (from the me myself and irene soundtrack)

"It's like saying give a man a Les Paul guitar and he becomes Eric Clapton, and of course that's not true, give a man an amplifier and a synthesizer and he doesn't become...whoever; he doesn't become us." - Roger Waters

Many do not know that the structure of Ravel's Bolero is an intentional direct allegory to sex- building repetition that gets more intense for climaxing at 13 minutes with a change of key and resolution of the melody.

Perhaps, but "lustful thoughts" is the LAST thing that piece inspires in me

But thanks for bringing it up, I hadn't listened to it in a while - it's been festering in my Classical folder lol.

...and just as I finished typing that, the piece ended and my egg timer went off a split second later... *BRRRRRRRRRRRR-INNNNNNNNNGGGGG!* It's a sign!

This thread makes me think that music never makes me lustful. It can make me happy, sad, romantic, moping but never lustful.

Oh, I dunno, I once put on a Smashing Pumpkins CD, The Machines of God, while relaxing with a girlfriend a couple of years ago, she said, "ooh, what's this", I said, "it's the pumpkins", she said, "sounds great to shag to", an enjoyable afternoon was had by all....

I think it was the opening guitar riff to "The Everlasting Gaze" that did it for her

Christmas edition of Melody Maker, 1991. Question to Robert Smith: Favourite single of the year? Answer: Curve, Cherry EP. There you go. Robert has impecable taste in music.

Sexual Healing's a great song. For me it has a sad tinge (probably because of Marvyn's death). Maybe someone should cover it.

The entire CD Music to Disappear In by Raphael is a real mood-setter, especially the title cut and "Serpent".

You can listen to RealAudio samples of the CD Here

Whoa! You see it too?!

I think there are only a few sexxxy songs in this world: Nina Simone, "Sugar in my Bowl"; Etta James, "Baby, What You Want Me to Do"; John Mayer, "Your Body is a Wonderland"; AND Ottis Redding, "I've Been Loving You Too Long". Thee are a few more but, those are the the best "gettin' your groove on" songs!

"Ultra"? Hmmm, must admit, I don't think I've heard that one. Anyone else have? And I've found another song that has a sexy rhythym. Blu Cantrell's "Breathe", just take away the vocals and it's the perfect strip tease song. Private performance only of course.

Ultra was the album Depeche Mode released in 1997, it was a dark album due to the context (singer was suicidal, drugs and alcohol problems and so on). It's a rather quiet album produced by Bomb The Bass, there are a few very good songs on it (Love Thieves, The Bottom Line) but overall, it's kind of weak, heck DM, as most 80s bands, was already starting to go downhill at that point.

Yes, but surely you have to admit that Exciter was a fairly good return to form?, it had some classics on that one, Freelove being the one that sticks out in my mind, damd that song inspired me to output some work, did lots of app skins, wallpapers and so on around that time, mainly with Exciter and Freelove in particular being played in heavy rotation.

However, nothing will top the zenith that was Violator...........

Exciter bore me beyond belief, only valuable songs on it imo were Dream On and I Feel Loved.

Nadir ???? If I remember, nadir means "lowest point". D'you mean Violator was bad ? It's my fave DM recording

It's a samey, tired album IMO. I have it on CD but I've only played it once. There was nothing on there screaming out to be listened to again. £14-00 for what????
Back on topic - The Teaches of Peaches (2000)

I can play "Hot Rod" with the kids present but that's it.
