What's the best file sharing program for jazz?

Can anyone help me out? I've gone through a large number of programs ever since audiogalaxy ended, none of them seem to have a good jazz selection. Is there one out there?

Try the jazz section of your local CD store.

I think it's against the forum rules to tell you where or how to download music illegally.

Soulseek has a decent selection of older (bop, cool, etc) jazz. I wouldn't know where to go for contemporary "new age" jazz 'cause I'm not into that stuff. The lines of legality really do blur when it comes to older stuff considering that most of the great jazz musicians are dead. It's not like they're seeing the money anyway!

Most mall chain music stores have terrible jazz selections anyway.

File sharing is only really good for Popular music (Pop/Country) or music that likes to pretend it is not popular but is in fact, even more popular than pop (Rock, "Alternative", Rap, Dance)

Napster USED to have a rather OK selection of music from other mature genres such as Jazz, Classical, and Traditional World. This was because it was so easy to use and unintimi******** older people, who lets face it, are demographically the main listeners of these genres, were able to share music with ease.

Most of the Kazaa and IRC crowd however is 13-25. It would be rather difficult if not impossible to find a file sharing service that has built up the mature clientele who has this music.

Gremlin is 100% correct. Soulseek has an EXCELLENT selection of jazz muisc. And most albums are available in their entirety. on top of a good jazz community it also has a wide selection of classical, blues, and world music. All of which are pretty hard to find on any other Sharing App. The encoding quality standards are generally much better on Soulseek also...
