i don't think of curve as goth. but that's just me.
as for the more "shock!" side of goth, how about this: ![]() dimmu borgir - Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia |

I'm sure none of you "Goths" would actually care for reccomendations from the ACTUAL gothic era... so why waste the effort?

go on, i'm not a goth anyway
![]() and of course, there's a difference between modern gothic music and classical gothic music. i'd think an educated man such as yourself could deal with one word having twin meanings... |

Just more of the same caustic vitriol aimed at modern music, you know me.
"Gothic" Music ... quite a misnomer. |

Goth's nothing more than a label (brought about by NME no doubt).
zootm - what the hell's that?!?!?!??! With regards to Curve, Doppelganger has a certain goth feel. The other albums are just 'Curve' (too original to be classified). |

Gothic - Of or relating to a style of fiction that emphasizes the grotesque, mysterious, and desolate.
Well huh, X, looks like it was very well named to me Why not try listening to it before discounting it and sniffing down your nose at us? ![]() <edit> Zootm, Dimmu's more death metal, I believe. At least, that's what I've seen it classified as. I supposed the two genres can overlap, though, too. </edit> <edit2> One of my picks: ![]() If_Then_Else by The Gathering </edit2> |

By the looks of him, I'd say so! Notice the flat hair at the top (needs a bigger coffin). Adding:
Bauhaus - In the Flat Field Clan of Xymox - Creatures

Luckilly their forray into the mainstream was very brief, so they haven't been tarnished by being popular! |
