What kind of stuff would i need to make Techno/Trance music?

i want to get some type of key board. one that i can make techno music with. and i have no idea what i would be looking for so any help would be appreceiated.


---i went to the sam ash key board store in new york they had some keyboards hooked up to some kind of mixer (not sure what its called) but it would make cool techno type sounds with that.
