DSL and Router port forwarding.

how do i forward ports on a sprint dsl router and Dlink: DI-604 router? and the little guides on the dlnk site only tell how to open the ports in the router not forward them.
standerd ip for dsl modem 192.168.1.1
ip for router 192.168.0.1
