Tip of the day in getting prompt free technical support:
Write in complete sentences using valid grammer syntax and punctuation.

**********************

Do you have a DNAS (SHOUTcast server) installed?

If so, any errors in the DNAS log?

Did you change the DNAS variables srcIP and destIP from ANY?

Is your DNAS and Winamp/DSP combo on the same machine?

What exactly are you entering for "Address" and "Port" in the DSP?

Please answer them all to expidite your help request.

Please read some polite advice.

I'm not sure, but have you tried typing something in the Title field?

Aye, as the error and LollipopLustKil suggest, type something in the title field.

Then, get ready for another "yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (please type something in the genre field)" which of course you'll type something in the genre field.

Thanks for answering the questions. You're almost there and appear to be doing the right things..

S: and i came here for help not people telling me how to write sentences...
R: I'm telling you how to get prompt free technical support.

I don't care in what manner you usually write, but posting a giant run-on sentence (in the wrong forum) and complaining about not getting results doesn't help.

Did you press connect in the SHOUTcast DSP? If you don't try and connect, no message comes up.

What exactly are you entering for "Address" and "Port" in the DSP?

Since the Winamp/DSP combo is on the same machine as the DNAS, try "127.0.0.1" or "localhost" (both withot the quotes) as the Address.

Yeah, and it says timeout on both the source and while connecting, or atleast trying to connect.

Put "localhost" (without the quotes) in the 'Address' box.

Are you sure you're pressing Connect in the DSP? There will be something said in the DNAS log no matter what if you press it.
