Mic not working with soundcard input

I went to that sticky thread and I have it all setup like this:

Recording mixer: Stereo Mix selected, and the bar is about 3/4 way up
Volume Mixer: everything is unmuted including microphone, the Wave bar is 3/4 of the way up, and Microphone is all the way down.

When i Press talk, the microhpone slider goes all the way up and the wave goes to about 1/2 the slider.


The problem is when i press talk, i can hear the music get softer like it should, but you cant hear my voice at all.
