If this kind of technology is out there I would like to see in future development:

1. While listining to a stream in WinAmp3, some way to show the length of song being played, as in minutes/seconds until song is done playing.

2. Some way to show the next song/songs to be streamed.

that isnt exactly true. that is entirely possible to happen in future shoucast releases. just all depends on what the staff does with these ideas. #1 is possible, but #2 isnt unless someone ran a specified playlist unshuffled.

Take a look at phpStreamcast it can display the current position of the "playback head" for the current song.

2. Some way to show the next song/songs to be streamed.

phpStreamcast can do this too when running with streamcast (and maybe even with sc_trans).

I am running phpStreamcast with stream-db set to random playback, and as such do not have experience with this feature.

I am not associated with phpStreamcast in any way... I just really like it!
