Hell yeah...
It was kind of a last-minute thing, but I got some tickets to a concert last night. There were three bands. The first was Three Days Grace. Relatively new band, but they're awesome. Very impressive. After them was Trapt. They fuckin' rock. And in all honesty, I wanted to see them more than the last band that played... but I was seriously blown away by Nickelback. I never thought they could kick that much ass. Mosh pit, body surfing, pyrotechnics, the works. My ears are still ringing.

I know about the Music forum, but this forum is a bit more... um, exposed I guess you could say. And there's more that I want to talk about than just the music anyways. The pyrotechnics were awesome. They had flamethrowers mounted in the stage that would pulsate 20-foot tall fireballs along with the beat of the music. You could feel the radiant heat all the way up in the stands.
And the lighting rigs were totally awesome.

Btw, Chad Kroeger is actually quite a funny guy.

That's a fast quad." lol ![]()

I was always more into jam bands that didn't need pyrotechnics and so forth. I go to concerts to hear music, not see fire.
Plus, I'm paranoid and would probably worry about whether or not the place was catching on fire the whole time. |

Nickelback came and played last summer and people started throwing beer towards the stage because they liked the music and chad stops in the middle of a song and says
"Will the fucking morons who feel the need to throw beer on these hot girls up here PLEASE QUIT!" and continues right where he left off
I came for the hatred. I stayed for the ballbag. |

The whole coliseum was beating from the bass alone. They also had one of the New Orleans Saints (yes, I said one of the Saints) come in and play guitar when they performed Leader Of Men. I thought they were joking when Chad introduced him onto the stage, but he actually played really well. Can't remember which Saint it was, though.

I don't like Nickelback... Personally... I can't tell the difference between them, 3 Doors Down, and Creed.
Unless Nickelback is hard music now, and I'm confused with just 3 Doors Down and Creed... I do like Three Days Grace, they're pretty good. ^_^ just as feathery as ever | portfolio | a poignant quote |

Chad made a joke about them last night at the concert... "Yeah, last time I was down here, I woke up drunk in Escatawpa with the 3 Doors boys." Creed is cool, even if they are a Christian band. ![]() Quote:

Actually, I just wanted to share a good experience that I had with everyone else. I didn't necessarily start this thread for the purpose of discussing music, but more to talk about the fact that I went to a concert that kicked ass. I don't go to things like that very often, so this is a treat for me. If it's such a big fucking deal, I won't bother in the future.

You are right sgtfuzzbubble Nickelback do f*cking rock.
I just became a fan. And I'm looking forward to seeing them live. What got me liking them was two of the radio hits "How You Remind Me" and "Someday". I said to myself--You should sample somemore. So attatched is My "Best of Nickelback Vol. One" CD. Sgt. Did you hear the song they did with Santana "Why don't You and I" ? I like that one. I also like "somebody help me breath" and "Just for you" I like them because they are hard and soft. And they sound real. I see good things ahead for these guys. Yes I do. |
