Brain Scan to Identify Racists

Scientists at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire have developed a technique using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to identify people who have racist beliefs. They used a survey and photos of black people for white volunteers to look at.

The brains of participants with racist tendencies showed a surge of brain activity when they saw pictures of black people. This group of people also scored low on a test after they had to interact with black individuals.

Dartmouth assistant professor Dr. Jennifer Richeson says "We were surprised to find brain activity in response to faces of black individuals predicted how research participants performed on cognitive tasks after actual interracial interactions."

Did they try it the other way round, showing white people to black people, or what about white to white and black to black? Maybe the brain activity was love?

There is so much reverse discrimination going on, but people only care about white on black racism cause all white people are KKK members.

While our predecessors were guilty of enslaving the black man, we are for the most part victims ourselves. Being part African American myself, I have no prejudice towards my fellow man. Unfortunately, the American prejudicial focus is now on Arab Americans after the events of 9-11.
Reverse discrimination is just as rampant as anything and combined, racism may never go away. My hope for my descendants is that things will come together as they are in the fictitional stories of Star Trek:TNG.

I dont hate the skin, I hate the personality, and a lot of people (black and white and other colors) lack a lot of it.

As for this test, shouldnt they get working on fighting cancer and STD's?
