Ok, thinking of this one on the way to work. I was listening to The Cranberries, and where are they now???? Who else has dropped off your radar?

They now perform as 'The Creatures'.

It started out as a side-project in 1983, but since 1999 it's become a full time job for Siouxsie & Budgie. 4 albums in as many years.

I like the stuff (as you might expect).

It is interesting to note that when The Creatures were formed, Robert Smith from the Cure (who was "resident guest gutarist" in the Banshees) and Banshees bass player Steve Severin took advantage of it to start their own collaboration as 'The Glove'. They released an album called "Blue Sunshine" in 1983; I have it, it's a fascinating disc that mixes various influences from synth-driven new wave to pure psychedelia, Smith sang on only two tracks for contractual reasons, the rest of the songs were sung by a woman called Jeannette Landray (who was an ex-gf of Budgie). The record was re-released on cd in 1990, adding the B-sides of the two singles and a remix of the first single (this is the version I have). It's a really interesting record because some of the songs sound like drafts of what The Cure would do after that, mostly in their pop era.
