Magnum - On a Storyteller's Night

Bought (with glee) in January 1990. I already owned the LP.

wiat, CD's where around to the public in 1984?!
I feel left out of the music sceen.
The first CD I got that was worthwile was Rage Against The Machine - Battle of Los Angels. 1999.
Ya, I am young, and was not into music too much before then. And all I had was crap that was not really music.
Unless you count the music on the Sim City 2000 game CD.... Then that would be 1995

The soundtrack to "Godzilla" back in '99, or somewhere around that time...

Won 2nd place in this Godzilla drawing at my local Target...First time I ever won anything too...

When I bought my first cd player you got a "choice";

U2,
Tina Turner
Dire Straights

and as I bought The Joshua Tree on the release date, 1985, the date is correct. Scary that they've been around so long...gee, it was only yesterday.....

I recently found that out while looking through the 2004 edition to the "Guinesses Book of World Records" last night...They were first released to the public in 1981, I think...As advanced as they were, they were probably as popular as a cable internet connection in the mid-90's...

i have a really bad feeling that my first CD single purchase was Ace Of Base - Life Is A Flower ¬_¬

First album was Travis - The Man Who (I think.)

He uses statistics like a drunk uses lamp-posts: for support, not illumination.

No way! I bought Smash a couple of years after release, but I played it so much you could see through the CD after the first month.

Drove my second wife nuts. She kept wanting to listen to this new band called "Savage Garden". Damn blondes!

I guess it's kinda sad that I can't remember the first CD I ever bought.
But I do remember the first record I bought.
It was the 45rpm single of "She Loves You" by The Beatles, back in 1963.
The "B" side is a song titled "I'll Let You Go".
I still have it...scanned @ 100% in the attachment.

The first album I bought was "Meet The Beatles" in 1964.
Still have it too.

I own the first 6 offspring albums. Overplayed, a long time ago. Now rotting on the shelf in the 'crap' section of a large stack of cd's.
